Nicholasville-Judy Ann Rainwater, 70, devoted wife of Ben Rainwater for nearly forty seven years, went to be with her Savior and hero, Jesus, on August 8, 2015. Born November 11, 1944 in Winchester, KY to the late Mary Ann and Stanley Marion, she was named by her older sister Ola. After moving to Lexington, she graduated from Henry Clay High School.

Judy loved being a full-time mom to her children Steve and Missy. Through their marriages, she gained an additional daughter and son, Jennifer and Eric. Judy especially cherished being 'Nana' to her four beautiful grandchildren. She was also a wonderful daughter-in-law to Ed and Mae Rainwater.

Judy's family and friends will remember her sweet smile and generous heart. She was always willing to serve others wherever she found a need. During her life she was a regular Sunday school teacher and nursery worker at church, and she volunteered at local schools. Most recently Judy enjoyed serving at her home church, Gardenside Christian, and reading to children at James Lane Allen Elementary School. Her greatest legacy will be her love for Jesus as well as her love for her family and friends.

She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Jennifer, their children Taylor and Savannah of Nicholasville, her daughter and son-in-law Missy and Eric Moyen and their children Anna Grace and Emmy of Cleveland, TN and her sister Ola Marion Moore of Lexington.

Visitation will be Monday from4-9pm and Tuesday from 11am-1pm in the chapel at Southland Christian Church.
