Johnny "Big John" Holloway

Johnny “Big John” Holloway, 63, husband of Rhonda Holloway, passed Saturday, April 21, 2018. He was born December 22, 1954 in Lexington, KY to Evelyn Joyce Barber Holloway and the late John McGinnis Holloway. Additional family survivors are his sons, Doug (Krista) Holloway and James (Jessica) Holloway, two precious granddaughters, Lauryn and Laikyn Holloway, six siblings, Marlene (Howard) Wireman, Kathy (Harold) Williams, Cheryl (Robert) Darnell, Vada (Charlie) Johnson, Darwin (Janice) Holloway, and Kevin (Christa) Holloway, in- laws, Doug (Deene) Hart, sister-in-law, Donna (Dan) Ramsey, eleven nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Johnny was retired and enjoyed spending time playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends. His special passion was his karaoke and DJ business because he loved music and singing. He had made many friends thru this venture that became his “karaoke family”. This brought him and others many special memories. Big John enjoyed making people feel special and celebrating special moments in their life. He had moved to Herrington Lake and made very special friends and had a great lake family that he loved. Johnny enjoyed having a good time with them. He was a special person who loved his family and friends. He will be missed by all. Funeral service will be 7:00 PM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Mike Goldey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until time of service.
