John Ellis Robinson

John Ellis Robinson, 76, husband of Glenda Gaines Robinson of Lancaster, Kentucky died, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born in Jessamine County, Kentucky to the late Clarence Ellis and Lorena Mae Hamon Robinson. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era and Desert Storm and was a member of the 100th Division Army Reserve Unit in Lexington, KY. John was in the Army and Army Reserves of nearly 25 years. He was retired from IBM in Lexington, Kentucky, and a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church and later the Edgewood Baptist Church and a volunteer at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Survivors include a son, John Craig (Michelle) Robinson and a daughter, Jennifer Mae (Shep) Hansen, four grandchildren, Bryce Howard, Caroline Robinson, Wesley Hansen and William Hansen, sisters, Agnes Fay Cooksey, Louisville, KY and Margaret Ann Baker, Lancaster, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Kennoy Coffee and Linda Lou Issacs. Services will be 1:00PM, Monday December 28, 2020 at Betts & West Funeral with Chaplain Robert S. Barnard Jr. and Bro. Bill Fort officiating. Visitation will be 11:00AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, East Bernstadt, Kentucky 1:00PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
