John C. Byrd, 58, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Danville, Kentucky on March 20, 1965, to the late Cecil David Byrd Sr. and the late Rosetta Saylor Byrd Lowery. John was a farmer working for Maramour Farms. Survivors include his stepfather, Willie Lowry, brother, David (Nora) Byrd, and five sisters, Georgia Cole, Catherine Olson, Lizzie (Doug) Farler, Margaret (Thomas) Currens, and Lucy (Eddie) Frith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil D. Byrd, Jr. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Studler and Pastor Kenny Robinson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Keene Cemetery. Bearers will be Jeremy Byrd, Jacob Byrd, Isaiah Neal, Shelby Wafard, Michael Farler, and John Taylor. Honorary bearers will be Austin Crowe, Joseph Cole, Mike Stevens, and Dionte’ Simpson.
