Joan Bowman Wilson

Joan Bowman Wilson, 87, widow of Charles F. Wilson Jr., passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was born in Jessamine County on December 10, 1933 to the late Woodford Bowman and Arkie Peel Bowman. Joan worked as a secretary for Nicholasville Elementary School and then later for the Nicholasville Police Department. She was known for her beautiful smile and quick wit. Survivors include a son, Don (Teresa) Wilson, two daughters, Elizabeth Ann “Lib” Wilson and Charlene (Glenn) Montgomery, five grandchildren, Ron, Ryan, Kyle (Laura) Montgomery, Todd (Carrie) Wilson and Kristen Wilson (Marshal) Tingle and eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Rena Drakeford. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron, Ryan, Kyle and Charlie Montgomery, Todd Wilson, and Marshal Tingle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mary Jane East, Pauline Benton, Shirley Lee, Myrtle Boggess, Linda Mulcahy, Crystal Stanley, Judy Drakeford, Donna Davis and Dottie Bruner.
