Jimmie Katherine Garrison Philpot

Jimmie Katherine Garrison Philpot, widow of Daniel B. Philpot, passed Monday, August 7, 2017. She was born March 9, 1929 in Hamilton OH to the late James Monroe and Edna Hensley Garrison. Jimmie was a member of Wilmore United Methodist Church. Family survivors are two children, Sandra I. (Richard) Cotton and Lt. Colonel Nancy P. (Lt. Colonel Robert) Thomson, five grandchildren, Heidi G. (Michael) Miller, Robert E. (Jennifer) Thomson III, Carrah W. Cotton, Joshua D. (Nikki) Sallee, and Hannah N. (Jeremy) Grigsby, six great grandchildren, Dru, Tamra, London, Jada, MacGregor, and Paisley Katherine, three bonus great grandchildren, Devin, Aidan, and Regan, a sister, Laura B. Hoskins, a brother, Walter R. (Stephanie) Garrison and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Mae Thomas, and a brother, Woodard Garrison. Funeral service will be 12:30 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Lt. Colonel Robert Thomson officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
