Jesse E. Harvey

Jesse E. Harvey, 76, husband of Lena Frances Jones Harvey, passed away December 19, 2014. He was born on May 28, 1938 to the late Holman and Lucy Mahan Johns Harvey. Jesse was a farmer, a member of the MT. Beulah Methodist Church and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a member of the Jessamine County Goat Producers Association and he actively supported the 4-H Livestock Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending livestock shows, playing cards and working puzzles. He is also survived by one daughter Debia L. Renfro, one son Keith E. Harvey, two grandsons Jeremy I. Harvey and Justin Tyler Harvey and his fianc-e Katie, one sister Virginia (Harold) McFarland, one brother Harold Harvey, one sister-in-law Hester Harvey and other family members to mourn his passing. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Verlin, Carly and Holman Jr. Harvey. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2014 at Betts and West Funeral Home with Reverends Basil Hall and DeWayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Casketbearers will be Justin T. Harvey, Jeremy I. Harvey, Joe Olrich, Kenny Smith, Bert Jones, and Wayne Taylor, Honorary Casketbearers will be Kermit and Betty Shaffer, Lloyd and Pat Bruner, Peggy and Bobby Roe, Walter and Beverly Bradshaw, Dwight Blakemon and all nieces and nephews.
