Jess Lloyd Hatfield

March 17, 1930 — June 23, 2013

Nicholasville-Jess Lloyd Hatfield, 83, beloved husband to Joyce Wilder Hatfield for sixty-three years, died June 23, 2013 surrounded by his family and love. He was one of six children born to the late Rose Arnold and Llyod Hatfield. He joins his siblings, George Hatfield, Fronie Williams, Lucille Todd, Nancy Lovett, and Maggie Hatfield in heaven. Jess will forever be remembered by his children and their spouses; David (Mary) Hatfield, De-Anda (John) Waggers, Denise (Doug) Fain, Dolores (Rodney) Simpson, Diana Caudill and Christy Bottoms, along with his fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and the countless other friends and family blessed to know him. Jess touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky F&M and affiliated with Primitive Baptist Church. Friends and Family are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, June 26 from 4-9pm and Thursday June 27, from 9am-2pm, with memorial services following starting at 2pm. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Betts & West Funeral Home with Elder Michael Gowens, and the burial will be held at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The following are honored to be Palll bearers and carry him to his final resting place; Jess L. Hatfield, Anthony Parker, Brian Fain, Troy Hatfield, Austin Bottoms, Matt Hatfield, David Hatfield Jr., Nicholas Zimmerman, Jamie Maxey, Jason Stott, and Ricky Caudill.
