Jerry Lindsey Jones, 71, husband of Tammie Wade Jones, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born in Mason County, Kentucky, on December 24, 1950, to the late George Lindsey Jones and Ethel Francis Cropper Jones. He was a plumber and electrician, having worked at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in maintenance, and served in the United States Army Reserves. In addition to his wife, Tammie, he is survived by his stepson, Jason Wade Morton; stepdaughter, Paige Renee Morton; sister, Linda Whitaker (George); nephew, Kyle Whitaker; grandson, Talon Poynter; as well as numerous other family members. Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, November 22, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales and Bro. David Grose officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, with Jason Morton, Austin Stewart, Tommy Burton, Barry Howard, Billy Ray, and Joe Butler serving as bearers. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to go to Bethel Christian Church, at 1126 Bethel Rd, Nicholasville, Kentucky.
