Janet Lee Shearer Henson, 58, widow of Barry Henson, died Monday, May 9, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on June 5, 1963, to Dan Shearer and the late Gracie Cobb Pennington. Janet was a Special Needs teacher at Warner Elementary. She is survived by two sons, Brett (Ashley) Durham and Jason (Sharon) Henson, a daughter, Jena (Teddy) Bradley, and nine grandchildren, Madison Henson, Noah Bradley, Steel Reidenbaugh, Taylor Durham, Gabe Bradley, Corbin Durham, Baron Bradley, Kane Bradley, Lillie Mae Durham and a sister, Sharon (David) Murphy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Shearer. Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, May 13, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Craig Yates officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2022. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Brett Durham, Jason Henson, Teddy Bradley, Kyle Lamb, Lane Murphy, David Murphy, George Morgan, and Zach Savage. Dan Shearer will serve as an honorary bearer.
