James Logan Smith

James Logan Smith, 80, husband of Molly England Smith, of Vaughn Ridge Road, London, Kentucky, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. James was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on August 22, 1941, to the late Grover and Arizona Davis Smith. He was a retired Pastor and worked as the Lexington Cemetery groundskeeper for over 31 years. James was also a United States Army Veteran. In addition to his wife Molly, his survivors include one son, Adam (Deanna) Campbell, four daughters, Becky (Jim) Lawson, Jamie (Raymond) Fultz, Barbara (Leonard) Roark, and Gail (Arthur) Gorley, fourteen grandchildren, Zachary, Reagan, and Caitlyn Campbell, Eli (Evelyn) Lawson, Emily (Tilford) Harrison, Brandon Hubbard, Julia Fultz, Jennifer (Chris) Eyer, Robert Eyer, Gregory (Erica) Stevens, Jacob (Melissa) Stevens, Austin Gorley, Aaron Gorley, and Toby, and, fifteen great-grandchildren. Services will be 11:30 AM Monday, January 10, 2022 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. James Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Bearers will be Adam Campbell, Jacob Stevens, Greg Stevens, Zac Campbell, Nick Revis, and Eli Lawson. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
