James Harold Baker

James Harold Baker, age 73, of Lancaster, KY, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was born in Leslie County, KY, on March 11, 1949. James was the son of the late Wilson Baker and Recey Pennington Baker. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Baker (Joseph), as well as six brothers, Harvey, Dennis, Pearl, Coy, W.T., and Paul Baker. James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret Baker; two stepsons, Richard and Steven Willhoite; three sisters, Marie Day of Smilax, KY, Loretta Steele (Mike) of Lexington, and Margaret Day (Clinton) of Lancaster; and two daughters from a previous marriage, Joanna and Ellen. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 28, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home, Thursday. Betts & West is honored to serve the Baker family in their time of need.
