James Crawford Jr.

James Crawford Jr., 81, husband of Lillian Stevens Crawford, died Sunday, August 23, 2009. James was born September 10, 1927 in Perry County to the late James and Sophie Lunsford Crawford. Additional survivors are four daughters, Ernestine Crawford Hamm, Linda Sanford, Mavis Reed and Virginia Wright, eight grandchildren, Rachel Marie Buckner, Tony Carl Suella, John Wright, Bobby, Jason, Kimberly and Noah Reed and Ron Johnson, three sisters, Mallie Sisco, Pauline Deaton and Fannie (Sile) Combs. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Kate Combs, Celia Jewell, Virginia Hensley, Mary Jewell, Nana Belle Dickison, Ann Lawson, Lizzie Begley and one brother, Lee Crawford. Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday form 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
