Jack Smith Taylor, 98, widower of Joan House Taylor, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022. He was born in Ohio on April 19, 1924, to the late Smith T. Taylor and Grace Miles Taylor. Jack worked as the manager of Bluegrass Energy, attended the University of Kentucky, and served in the US Navy. He was also a deacon and member of the Nicholasville Christian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Quinn (John); son, John Miles Taylor (Helene); grandchildren, Alexis Quinn Whitt (Jerad), Joanna Brewer (Geoff), Emily Taylor, and John Michael Taylor; as well as two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan; and sister, Joyce Ann Henley. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 18, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Jerad Whitt officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, with friends and family serving as bearers. Visitation will be the evening prior, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday.
