Henrietta Walker Barnett Smith

Henrietta Walker Barnett Smith, 79, wife of Shirley A. Smith, passed Tuesday, October 11, 2016. She was born May 10, 1937 in Nicholasville, KY to the late George Gilbert and Hattie Cooley Walker. Henrietta was a flower designer, lifelong member of Nicholasville Church of Christ and liked to garden and read. Additional survivors are a son, Jeff Barnett and his friend Malinda Abbott, two grandchildren, Zack (Tyra) Barnett and Morgan Adams, three great grandchildren, Conner Barnett, Haylee Barnett and Caden Adams, one sister, Elizabeth Moores and other family members. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Barnett and seven siblings. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Minister Garrett Best and Minister Kevin Burr officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday (today) at the funeral home. Bearers will be David Moores, Danny Carpenter, Joe Walker, Mike Carter, Jimmy Bowman and Chris Walker.
