Helen Marie Houp Bowlin Frye

Nicholasville-Helen Marie Houp Bowlin Frye, 61, of Central Avenue, passed away at her home surrounded by family and friends after a short illness. She was born May 6, 1949, the first of ten children of the late Bill and Rosie Houp. Helen was married to the late Roger B. Bowlin and they raised five children together, Jimmy, Roger, Bengy, Lilly and Angela Bowlin. She was later married to the late Walter Frye and they had five children as well, Donnie, Ronnie, Jeff, Mike and Tonya Frye. She was a strong and brave woman and raised all her children on her own. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren with two expected as well as several great-grandchildren, numerous other family members and many friends. The family would like to thank everyone who came to take care of her, Hospice and Lynn Collins whose help wer greatly appreciated for their time and support. Services will be Thursday February 19, 2009 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. David Marsee. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm Thursday. Bearers will be Roger Thomas Bowlin, Benji Bowlin, Donnie, Ronnie, Jeffery and Michael Frye. Honorary bearers will be Enis, Billy Joe, Charlie, Virgil, David, Vernon and Bobby Houp.
