Harrison Proffitt, 70, widower of Nancy Curry Proffitt, died November 8, 2013. He was a farmer and retired sanitation worker. He was the son of the late Dan and Fannie Bruner Proffitt. Survivors include three children, Charlotte (Dennis) Todd, Jerry and James Proffitt, four grandchildren, P.J. Smith, Shelby Proffitt, Danica Risen and Sarabeth Proffitt, three brothers, J.D. 'Bud', Clyde and George Proffitt, two sisters, Beaulah Howard and Martha Bentley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Benge. Services will be 11:00am Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home.
