Harrison "Nelson" Hager

Harrison 'Nelson' Hager, 81, widower of Bessie Irene McClure Hager, died Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was born July 7, 1935 in Jessamine County to the late Morris and Gracie Gullett Hager. Nelson was a Army Veteran, a member of Antioch Christian Church, a Boy Scout leader, an avid hunter and fisherman. Additional survivors are two daughters, Peggy (Gary) Stinnett and Bonnie Hager Stinnett, a son, Morris Wayne Hager, five grandchildren, Stephanie, Darrell, Katie, Laura and Nelson, twenty great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, Gatlin Ogden, a sister, Rachel Arnold, a brother, Charles Alden and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a son, Harrison Nelson Hager Jr. Service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday and Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be George Grant, Bill Grant, Darrell Stinnett, Nelson Stinnett, Jason Seybold and Jeff Buchenroth. Honorary Bearers will be granddaughters and great grandchildren.
