Harold Horton, 85, husband of Rosia Bertha Arrowood Horton, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was born in High Bridge, KY on September 27, 1928 the son of the late John Cornelius Horton Sr. and Bessie Mae Alcorn Horton. He has been Pastor since 1967 of High Bridge Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Columbia Gas in Lexington, KY after 30 years of service. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Deborah Horton Borecki, Darrell Ray (Holly) Horton and Mark Alan (Sandra) Horton, six grandchildren, Natasha Gayle Horton, Amber Rae Horton, Tyler Scott Horton, Sarah Rose Borecki. Dustin Walker Horton, McKenzie and Cheyenne Horton and six great grandchildren, one sister, Irene Anderson Smith. He was preceded in death by brothers William Horton, James Horton, Layton Horton and a sister, Anetta Fuller. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Dustin Horton, Johnnie Adams, Ted Borecki, John Adams, Robert Houp, Dennis Horton, Jeff Smallwood, David Gonzales and Honorary Bearer, James Smith.
