Gregory Joe "Smokey" Baker

Gregory Joe -Smokey- Baker, 52, husband of Erneil Jean Baker Baker of Nicholasville, died Saturday, October 11, 2008. Smokey was born August 23, 1956 in Fayette County to the late Edward and Irene Burton Baker. Additional survivors are three children, Regina Baker and her fianc-, Ryan Abell, Eddie Baker and his fianc-, Ashley Gains,-Nicholasville, Gloria Baker, granddaughter, Makailee Jenna Brooks, grandson, Trevor James Abell, special niece, Kimberly Baker, special nephew, Timmy Baker-Nicholasville and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Baker. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. John Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Bob Mackey, Ryan Abell, Timmy Baker, Shawn and Luke Carroll and Ronnie Wash.
