Geneva Stull East

Geneva Stull East passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Hospice Care Center of St. Joseph Hospital on the morning of April 24, 2015. She was the daughter of the late John 'Jack' and Hattie Stull and step-daughter of the late Chester 'Pete' Noel. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late William Curtis 'Booster' East. She owned and operated both the East Service Station and the Dairy Dip on North US 27 for a number of years and was the builder of the East Service Station on North Main in Nicholasville in the early 1950's and owner until the early 1970's.

She is survived by her husband's family, Elwood 'Cadillac' and his wife, Elizabeth 'Tootsie' East and their children, Charles C. 'Sid' and his wife, Mary Jane East and their children, Roland 'Rock' East and his daughter and Thompson D. East.

She is further survived by Paul D. and his wife, Dr. Deborah East, Dr. R. Keith and his wife, Bonnie East, Martin D. and his wife, Tammy East, Dawna East-McCoy and her husband, Dr. Ken McCoy, the children of her late brother- in-law, Paul East and his wife, the late Jewell Stinnett East, and Wayne and his wife, Shirley East and Galisa and her husband, Steve Watts, the children of her late brother-in- law, Alexander 'Elec' and his wife Violet East.

She is also survived by the great nieces and nephew of her late father, Dora Lou and her husband, Doug Bradley and Ray and his wife Sue Clark and Carolyn Thompson.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the loving and caringstaff at Council Oaks Assisted Living of Nicholasville for the care and comfort they gave their aunt and sister-in-law for the past decade. They have been truly wonderful.

Pallbearers will be Martin D. East, Wayne East, Steve Watts, Doug East, Randy East, and Doug Bradley. Honorary bearers will be her brothers in law and Ray Clark and the many employees of the Dairy Dip.

Visitation will be at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM and services will be on Monday at 10:30 AM at Betts & West with the Rev. Jim Harrison officiating.
