Garnett Welch Fain

September 16, 1930 — October 25, 2010

Garnett Welch Fain, 80, of Crenshaw Lane, husband of Barbara Ann Stipe Fain, died October 25, 2010 at his home. He was the son of the late Forrest and Callie. B. Peel Fain. He was the owner of JAW Excavating, was a member of Bethel Christian Church and the Jessamine Co. Saddle Club. Additional survivors include four daughters, Melinda (Ira) Puckett-Nicholasville, Rebecca Goldey-Lexington, Laura Sharp-Lexington and Amy (Jim) Adams-Versailles, seven grandchildren, Keturah Proffitt, Jeremy Puckett, Will, Emily and Sarah Goldey, Austin and Tyler Adams, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, a sister, Ruby Prior-NY. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Moores Fain. Services will be 1:00pm Thursday at Bethel Christian Church with Pastor Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Wednesday at the church. Mr. Fain-s grandchildren will serve as bearers. Honorary bearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Bethel Christian Church. Donations are suggested to the Bethel Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
