Evelyn Taylor Brumfield Cook, 90, died Sunday, November 11, 2012. She was born November 16, 1921 in Jessamine County to the late Andrew Jackson and Ella Walker Taylor. Evelyn was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Lexington, KY. She taught school for many years in Fayette County and is the author of the book 'Rembering the Veterans'. Her life was always about family. Survivors are a granddaughter, Amanda (Michael) Meade, two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tiara Adams and Jayden Wayne Meade, a sister, Geraldean Davis, nieces and nephews including Lee Andrew and Juan Davis and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a son David Cook. Services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
