Emil Menk

Emil Menk, 87, husband of Beverly for sixty one years, died Thursday at Thomas Hood Veteran's Center in Wilmore where he lived for almost two years. He is also survived by six children, Emil (Pam) Menk, Bill (Lori) Menk, Tom Menk , Mary (Mitch) Luy, Paul Menk, Louise (Marty) Fields, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Emil was retired from the Army, serving twenty two years and also from UK and Wal-Mart. He made his home in Nicholasville for the past forty six years where he loved his garden and enjoyed sharing his fruits and vegetables. Emil's daughters would like to sincerely thank special caregivers that 'made over him' like Ron and 'Old Lady'. Memorial services will be 2:30 pm Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home.
