Elige Bee Mccollum

Elige Bee McCollum, 89, passed Monday, October 17, 2016. He was born March 3, 1927 in Rockcastle, KY to the late Vollie Andrew and Lecy Mullins McCollum. He was of the Pentecostal faith, loved to vegetable garden, be under the hood of a car and was the hardest working man the family knew. Family survivors are four children, Marquetta McCollum, Geraine Centers, Debbie Naylor and Johnnie Lee McCollum, three grandchildren, Elige Powell, Isaiah Powell and Jacob Powell, four great grandchildren, one sister, Frances Allen and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee McCollum and six siblings. Service will be 1:30 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Bearers will be Will Hager, Jerry Mitchell, Alton Boone, Terry Tallman, Stephen Eskridge and Isaiah Powell. Honorary Bearers will be Harvey Sandlin, Elige Powell and Jacob Powell.
