Elba Elizabeth Monroe

Nicholasville-Elba Elizabeth Monroe 86, went to be with her heavenly father on January 27, 2010. She was the daughter of Ed and Grace Beard Weldon from Marion, Kentucky. Born September 11, 1923 she was married to Charles Monroe Salem Kentucky in 1942. During their 67 year marriage they lived in Salem Kentucky, Kalispell Montana, Lakes of The Four Seasons in Crown Point Indiana and finally settling in Nicholasville, Ky. She was a member of the Glen Park Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana and enjoyed her life as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling across the country, playing golf with friends at LOFS, bowling and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Eugene, James and Robert. She is survived by her husband and her son, Gerry Monroe his wife Betty of Nicholasville Ky, two grandchildren, Michael Crown Point Indiana and Renee Louisville, Ky and two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Griffin and brother-in law James Monroe Evansville, In.
