Dwight Douglas Stansell, 69, husband of Tracey Kenney Stansell, of Charlie Norris Rd in Richmond, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Dwight was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on April 29, 1952, to the late Henry Mack and Rmedda Cobb Stansell. Formerly an employee of Pro-Lift, he worked as a forklift mechanic and shop foreman. Additional survivors include two sons, Brian (Jaime) Stansell and Keith Stansell. Additional survivors, a step-son Travis (Lauren) Abney and their soon-to-be-born son Canyon Ray, step-daughter Jessica (Chris) Carrender, and children Tyler and Mackenzie. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Browning. Also, his brother-in-law Bill Kenney. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Charlene Robinson Stansell. Siblings preceding his death were brothers Henry (Betty) and Eugene (Carol) Stansell and sister Ella (Billy) Adams. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews. Additional special thanks to a close friend and coworker for many years Dee Walling. Additionally, special thanks to Steve (Kristy) Hughes, the Jett family, and Willie Peel for always helping with Dwight’s ongoing projects. Services will be 6:00 PM, Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bill Kenney officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
