Dorothy Kelly Botkin

Nicholasville-Dorothy Kelly Botkin, 89, widow of Robert A. Botkin, of Shun Pike, died December 7, 2008 after a brief illness. She was a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Bryan Station High School, class of 1937. She was born September 1, 1919, daughter of the late Oliver Redd and Cordelia Linville Kelly. Survivors include three children Patricia Kelly (Charles) Fleckinstein, Robert A. (Becky) Botkin and Katharine (Glenn) Tipton, eight grandchildren, Jenny (Joey) Lusby, Andrea Fitch, Lara Barton, John (Debi) Barton, Joe Botkin, Kelly (Corey) Sayre, Cindy (Coleman) Tudor and Dustin Tipton, thirteen great grandchildren, Samuel, Bryan and Adin Lusby, Ashley Chatham, Drew, Charlie and Tyler Fitch, Lukas Curtsinger, Thomas Barton, Kalin and Tanner Johnson, Kennedy and Reid Sayer, a brother, Russell Kelly, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, B.J. Tipton, a great grandson, Caden Tipton, a sister, Mary Katherine Neal and a brother, Oliver Kelly Jr. Services will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Snyder and Rev. Scott Winkler officiating. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm today.
