Donald Verne Johnson Sr.

Donald Verne Johnson Sr., 86, husband of Beverly June Ellis Johnson, passed, Monday, October, 23, 2017. He was born May 13, 1931 in Howard SD to the late Verne J. and Marie Teresa Anderson Johnson. Don was retired from GE and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He was a Navy Veteran, a KY Colonel, and liked to work on small engines. Additional family survivors are four children, Donald (Sharon) Johnson Jr., Dianna (George) Sorensen, Stephen Johnson, and Cheryl Flannery, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and other family members. Don was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Johnson, a grandson, Brad Johnson, and a son in law, Chris Flannery. Graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Bob Blankenship officiating. Contributions suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators or Edgewood Baptist Church.
