Donald "Don" Wayne Carter

Donald “Don” Wayne Carter, 77, widower of Rita Shelley Carter, passed Friday, December 1, 2017. He was born November 30, 1940 in Jessamine County to the late Jesse and Zella “Car-Car” Carter. Family survivors are a grandson, Corey Wayne (Roxanne) Vanderpool, two great grandchildren, Charlee Vanderpool and Remy Vanderpool, three sisters, one brother and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Ann Vanderpool and a son D.J. Carter. Service will be 11:30 PM Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.
