Davy Lawrence Middleton

Davy Lawrence Middleton, 63, husband of Sandy Young Middleton, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. He was born in Lexington on September 17, 1958, to the late Dave Middleton and Mary Ann Smith. Davy was a farmer, had retired from the University of Kentucky in the Physical Plant Department, and also worked in maintenance for the Lexington Fayette County Urban Government. He attended the New Hope Fellowship Church in Nicholasville. Some of his favorite things were caring for his cattle, showing antique tractors, and spending time with his family and grandkids. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Middleton; son, Bo Middleton; daughter, Brandy Craft (Chris); sister, Donna Deaton (Dane); grandchildren, Tucker Middleton, Harper Middleton, Kaylee Carpenter (Zach), and Cameron King (Bryan); great-grandchildren, Jensen Carpenter, Gentry Carpenter, and Bellamy King; as well as a special friend, Andrea Mulcahy Hall. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 12, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Stipe officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Tucker Middleton, Jason Williams, Kevin Deaton, Virgil Deaton, Jimmy Miller, and Mike Rue. Honorary bearers will be Steven Conner, Mike Foster, Tommy Gibson, Ken Arthur, and Donnie Laskey. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to go to Bluegrass Care Navigators, an association that has offered tremendous support to Davy and his family.
