Cotha Davis

Wilmore-Cotha Davis, 88, Widow of Willard Davis, of Jessamine Station Road, died Wednesday April 16, 2008 after a long illness. She was born June 20, 1919, daughter of the late Hamilton and Lena Murphy Masters. She was a member of Light House Baptist Church. Survivors are four sons, Bobby Davis, Johnny (Suetta) Davis, James (Linda) Davis, Billy Davis, six grandchildren, Jimmy, Bobby Jean, Joey and Johnny Davis, Sue Chapman and Angie Reynolds, nine great grandchildren, a brother, Luther Masters, two sisters, Goldie Davis and Ruth Guy. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Davis. Services will be 11:00am Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Harrison and Rev. Dan Barnes. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8pm Friday. Bearers will be Jimmy, Bobby Jean, Joey and Johnny Davis, Doodle Peel and James R. Davis. Honorary bearers will be Jim Murphy, Neal Cassity, Cliff Guy, Gene Walker and Billy Peel. Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Jessamine Co. Senior Citizens.
