Cleophas "Bill" Cross

Cleophas “Bill” Cross, 85, of W. Elm Street, Nicholasville, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the Hospice Care Unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Rosedale, TN, on August 15, 1935, to the late Riley Roscoe Sr. and Rachel York Cross. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Crab Orchard, West Virginia. He is survived by five daughters, Susan and husband Bradley Shouse and Cindy Cross-both of Nicholasville, KY, Tracy Cross-Crab Orchard, WVa., Teresa Luna and Christine Cross-Phoneix, AZ, three sisters, Celesta Faye Cooper-Crab Orchard, WVa, Retha Cross-Christiansburg, VA, and Delta Cross-VA, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Leoda, Odelless, D. Clydeth, Cornelius, Nicodemus, Riley Roscoe Cross Jr., and two sisters, Elvia “Sis” Furnarie and Arlenia Cross. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Monday, August 2, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WVa with Bro. Jim Campbell officiating. Betts & West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
