Clara E. Deering Ritchey

Clara E. Deering Ritchey, 71, wife of Paul Harris Ritchey, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Clara was born April 27, 1938 in Garrard County to the late Daniel and Ruth Lyons Deering. Survivors are her five children, Ronnie (Bonnie Joyce) Thacker of Nicholasville, William -Junebug- (Kim) Thacker Jr. of Lexington, Johnny Ray (Susie) Thacker of Nicholasville, Debbie Carol (Danny Sr.) Middleton of Nicholasville and Teasia Ann (Carl Sr.) Collins of Wilmore, twelve grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two sisters, Janice Hannah of Wilmore and Patricia -Cricket- Clifton of Nicholasville, four brothers, William Deering of Wilmore, Danny Lee Deering of Nicholasville, Bobby Joe Deering of Nicholasville and Jack Deering of Wilmore and numerous other family members. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Smith and a sister, Wanda Corman. Services will be 10:30 am Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Scotty, Dwayne, Brian and Jeremy Thacker, Jimmy Smith Jr., Frankie and Patrick Collins and Brandon Rogers. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
