Christine Hayes, 89, widow of Leo Blakeman and Arvil Hayes, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015. She was born on October 6, 1925 in Jessamine County to the late James and Francis Lowery. Christine was a retired Wal-Mart worker; she loved reading and was of the Baptist faith. Christine is survived by two daughters Kathy (Gary) Sparks and Betty (Rick) Williams, thirteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and one sister Hazel Callico, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, three sons Johnny Leslie, Paul Ray and Jerry Lee Blakeman and many siblings. Funeral service will be conducted at Betts & West Funeral Home at 1PM Tuesday with DeWayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Casket Bearers will be Aaron Sparks, Steven, Keith and Kevin McCollum, Johnny Blakeman Jr. and William Cornelius.
