Charlotte Mae Bemis Zweifel

Wilmore-Charlotte Mae Bemis Zweifel, 96, widow of Frank Zweifel, of Wesley Village, died

August 2, 2009. She was a member of the Wilmore Free Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and was a member of the Lexington Lioness Club. Charlotte worked in the family carpet business in Lexington and retired to Fort Myers, FL before moving back to Kentucky in 1996. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Barbara and David Estes of Lexington, two granddaughters, Sherri Estes (Blake) Whitney, of Greensboro N.C. and Lisa Estes (Robb) Lee of London, KY, six great grandchildren, Ryan Blake Whitney, David Jordan Whitney and Joshua Robert Whitney all of Greensboro, Hannah Rose Lee, Charlotte Malone Lee and Garrett Robert Lee all of London. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Griffin Clarke Lee, a sister, Lorna Ruth Bemis and three brothers, Theordore, Robert and John Bemis. Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Chaplin Rachele R. Snellgrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2:00pm Tuesday. Bearers will be Gary Ayers, Blake Whitney, Robb Lee, Alex Grey, Ryan and David Whitney.
