Charles F Wilson, Jr.

Charles F. Wilson Jr., 87, husband of Joan Bowman Wilson for 63 years, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Central Baptist Hospital. He was born in Jessamine County on December 19, 1929 to the late Charles F. and Lillian Mitchell Wilson. Charles loved farming and was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. Additional survivors include a son, Don (Teresa) Wilson, two daughters, Elizabeth Ann 'Lib' Wilson and Charlene (Glenn) Montgomery, five grandchildren, Ron, Ryan, Kyle (Laura) Montgomery, Todd (Carrie) Wilson and Kristen Wilson (Marshal) Tingle and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray W. Wilson and a sister, Elizabeth Wilson Dean. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 with Charles Logan Miller and Lib Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Drury, Sid East, Alvin Underwood, Howard Downing, Doug Downing, Eddie Ray Davis and Brad Teater.
