Charles Edward Stephens, 79, of Nicholasville, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born in Mt. Sterling on January 15, 1943, to the late Charlie Cable Stephens and Clara Joseph Stephens. He is survived by his three daughters, Tiffany Stephens Pruitt (Wayne), Clarissa Leathers, and Whitney Stephens (Alfredo Garcia), one brother, Curt Stephens, one sister, Peggy Brown (Paul), and two grandchildren, Zachery Stephens and Christian Hagan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Betty Bowles. Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Don McCown officiating. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Adam Morton, Matthew Thompson, William Sherrow, Wayne Pruitt, Alfredo Garcia, and Tony Robinson. Honorary bearers will be Audrey Morey, Garrett “Buck” Cobb, Marianne Cobb, Raylene Rhineheimer, Robert Rhineheimer, and Rick Collins. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Stephens family in their time of need.
