Charles Dewey Dismuke

Charles Dewey Dismuke, 77, husband of Karen Marie Russell Dismuke, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born in New Orleans on March 6, 1946, to Cecil Frank Dismuke and Elsie Carmen Clay. Charles worked as an electronic technician for the postal service and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen; sons, Michael Charles Dismuke (Heather Ley), and Stephen Lloyd Dismuke (Terry Lynn); daughter, Heather Janean Dismuke Pope (William Minh Pope); brothers, Clarence Martin Dismuke (Nikki), and William Thomas Dismuke; grandchildren, Stefan Patrick Dismuke, Devon Michael Pope, Christian Andrew Pope, Carson Daniel Pope, Kamerion Lee Pope, Ruth Lillianne Dismuke, Sarah Kendell Dismuke, Johanna Lisha Dismuke, Cheyenne Jennings (Andrew), Shelby Carter (Jeremy), Jordan Jones (Destiny), and Jeremy Jones; as well as two great-grandchildren, Lula and Adalee Carter. He is preceded in death by siblings, Cecile Price, Janet Somners, and Anne Dismuke Barney. Graveside and Military Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, November 8, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where family and friends will serve as bearers.
