Carrie Hale Walling Benson, 82, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Estill County on February 11, 1940, to the late James Hale and Mabel Nolan Hale. She was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeff (Tammy) Walling, Ricky (Connie) Walling, and Michael Walling; daughter, Hazel (Walt) Baker; sister, Pearl Shofner; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Lewis Hale and Raymond Hale, and two great-grandsons, Adam Warren and Creed Karpuleon. Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 17, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Josh Baker, Carson Williams, Nick Warren, Greg Walling, Steven Walling, and T.J. Walling. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
