Carol Jean Tankersley

Carol Jean Tankersley, age 74, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on May 6, 1948, in Jessamine County to the late John Henry and Lucille Aldridge Tankersley. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Ann (Bobby) Roe, brother, Alvin Tankersley, nieces, Debbie (Stacy) O’Hair, Donna (Andy) Smith, Angela Osborne, and Rebecca (Jeff) Schroeder, nephews, Henry Henson Jr., and James Franklin Soper, and a brother-in-law Jim Soper plus a host of great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend Susie Best and Susie’s family Ronnie, Jacob, and Andrew. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Soper, and a special person in her life she loved dearly Kenny East. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Henry Henson, Tyler Tankersley, Andy Smith, Jeff Schroeder, Danny Clay Tankersley , Lowell O’Hair, and Lowell O’Hair, II.
