Calvin Edward Houk

Calvin Edward Houk, 74, widower of Sharon Ruth Underwood Houk, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Rockcastle County on June 30, 1949, to the late Ottie Houk and Mae Sexton Houk. Calvin was proud to be a farmer. He is survived by his daughters, Christi Hornsby (Brad), and Lisa Houk; sisters, Phyllis Sadler (Jim), and Eva Bottoms; and a grandchild, Logan Hornsby. He is preceded by his wife, Sharon; and two siblings, John Houk, and Lena Webb. Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Horton and Pastor Dwight Winter officiating. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Calvin and his family in their time of need.
