Callie Stidham Waits

Callie Stidham Waits, 79, loving wife of Harold Waits, died Sunday August 30, 2009. Callie was born May 8, 1930 in Jackson, KY to the late Ike and Nannie Landrum Stidham. She was a homemaker, member and deaconess at Providence Christian Church, member of Jessamine County Beef Association, 4-H Mothers Homemakers and Southern States Board. Additional survivors are her children, Carl (Beth) Waits of Nicholasville and Shirley (Beverly) Dezarn of College Hill, grandchildren, Ashley Waits of Nicholasville, Callie Dezarn of College Hill and Josh (Morgan) Dezarn of Lexington, sister, Jewell Key of TN, brother, Tommy Terry of Jackson, special friend Johnetta Hodge of Lexington and other family members. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Hatton and Ruth Key of OH, Mary Cravens of Lexington, brothers, Elvin Terry of Jackson, R.B. and Roy Terry, and Clyde Stidham of OH. Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Providence Christian Church in Brannon Crossing with Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the church. Bearers will be Doug Marshall, Jay Bruner, John Downs, Ed Sidebothom, Larry Kinnard and Bert Wayne Walker. Honorary bearers will be Eddie and Daryl Southworth, Mildred Walker, Milly Browning, Robert and Marlon Waits, Bob Bellman, Gary Anderson, Norman Flynn, Lynn, Mike and Tim Cravens, David McMillan, Don Thornton, George Dean and Daniel Marsh.
