Burke Jevon Rhoads, 35, husband of Melissa Suzanne Mason Rhoads, of Sugar Creek Pike, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident while on duty as a officer with the Nicholasville Police Department. He was born July 2, 1979 in West Branch, Iowa, the son of Carolyn Ann Walker and Mark Edward Rhoads. Burke was a member of St. Raphael Episcopal Church, NPD Honor Guard, a Field Training Officer, Bike Patrol, a Army Veteran and a Nicholasville Police Officer. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by three children, Jacquelyn, Bryan and Kevin Rhoads and three sisters, Tera Denial, Tristi Ellis and Miki Brockett. Funeral Services will be held 12:00PM Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Southland Christian Church with Rev. Johnny Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00AM until 1:00PM and 3:00PM until 8:00PM at Southland Christian Church. Nicholasville Police Department will serve as Bearers and do honors at the cemetery.
