Billie Sue Lewis Melton

Billie Sue Lewis Melton, 81, widow of Jackie Melton, died Monday. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Virgie Matney Lewis. She was retired from the University of Kentucky and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Survivors include a son Alfred (Karen) Burgess - Lexington, a daughter Paula (Herman) Bowman - Nicholasville, a step-son Bill (Vannetta) Melton - Lexington, a step-daughter Ruth (Glen) Weinberger-Wilmore, 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services will be 11:30pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. DeWayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Family will serve as bearers.
