Billie Louise Bullis Garrison

Billie Louise Bullis Garrison, 85, went home to be with Lord September 4, 2007. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bradford T. Garrison. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 19, 1922 she was the daughter of the late James Warren and Anna Collins Bullis. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and Ruth-s Diciples Sunday school class, a registered nurse having served in the Army Nurses Corp during WW II and several nursing positions through out her life. Billie was involved in many civic organizations including the Red Cross, Jessamine County Adult Education Program and Jessamine County Homemakers. She is survived by her five children, Dianne Lewallen-Wilmore, Linda (Wayne) Baumgardner-North Carolina, Susan Beaven-Nicholasville, Donald (Brenda) Garrison-South Carolina and Roger Garrison-Nicholasville, eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Gillispie-Wilmore, Brad (Trisha) Lewallen-Wilmore, Lisa Coleman-Florida, Ed Coleman-Ohio, Melanie Beaven-Nicholasville, Andrea (John) House-Lancaster, Chris Kirkland-PA and Donnie (Bobbie Jo) Garrison-South Carolina, seven great-grandchildren, Brett and Parker Gillispie, Clint and Nate Lewallen and Addison, Kylie and Bradford Garrison, one brother, Warren Junior (Adele) Bullis-Seattle, Washington. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Bullis and special son-in-law, Earl Lewallen. Services will be 12:00 PM Friday at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Craig Gillispie, Brad Lewallen, Ed Coleman, Mark Kornechuk, Randall Rogers and Wayne Baumgardner. Honorary Bearers will be Ruth Morton and Dorothy Casey. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home and Friday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
