Nicholasville-Betty Ruth Watts, 76, wife of Hugh Logan Watts Jr., of Gayhart Lane, died March 21, 2008 after a brief illness. She was a member of the Little Hickman Christian Church. She was a native of Jessamine County, daughter of Corbitt and Mary Brumfield Gayhart. Additional survivors include four children, Bobby J. Watts-Jess. Co., Peggy Ann Watts-Jess. Co., Cathy Jean Watts-West-TN, Mark Logan (Tracey) Watts-Jess. Co., five grandchildren, Melissa Kaye (David) Benson, Jessica Leigh (Jeremy) Kelley, Ryan Thomas West, Logan Lee Watts and Corey Stevens, two great grandchildren, Caitlyn Marie Kelley and Anna Isabelle West. Services will be 1:00pm Monday in the Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. Lee Baltzer. Bearers will be Ryan West, Logan Watts, David Benson, Jeremy Kelley, Corey Stevens, Jimmy Peel and Shawn Claggets. Honorary bearers will be Billy S. Peel, Julian -Goody- Short, Charles A. Hager, Mary M. Peel, Tammy Pinkston Sword and Pamela Sue Bligh. Betts & West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
