Betty L. Bradshaw (Corman)

July 16, 1941 — May 19, 2018

Betty L. Bradshaw (Corman) 1941 – 2018 Our beloved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Betty Bradshaw, aka "Mama" passed away peacefully on May 19, 2018 at the young age of 76. Born July 16, 1941 in Nicholasville, KY she met our father on a blind date and after a whirlwind courtship married a short 7 months later on October 29th, 1960 and were married just shy of 58 years. Betty lived her life on her terms, a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and friend. She was always selfless and never one to judge, a shoulder to lean on in tough times, referee and peace keeper for her sons and husband, and wise beyond her years. Betty taught so much to so many. She cherished her faith, her family and played an integral role in the lives of those close to her. Always confident and beautiful, she led by example and was the perfect role model for parenting, grandparenting, unconditional love, humor, and inner strength. The thing she was most proud of was being a mother to her two sons.
Betty leaves behind a loving family that includes her husband Autry G. Bradshaw, sons Jeffrey G. Bradshaw (Katie) and Gregory L. Bradshaw, grandchildren Amanda K. Brashear (Travis), Jeffrey Hunter Bradshaw, Allison N. Bradshaw, great-grandson William Casen Brashear, and sisters Billie Sue Brinegar and Linda Adams (Richard) along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Woodrow Wilson Corman, mother Juanita G. Corman, and brother Alan Corman.
Friends are invited to celebrate her life at Betts and West Funeral Home, 404 N Main St, Nicholasville on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4915 Harrodsburg Rd, Nicholasville, on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Bearers will be Jeffrey Bradshaw, Hunter Bradshaw, Travis Brashear, James Allen Hunt, Tina Adams, and Jimmy Long.
