Betty Fain Burdine

Betty Fain Burdine, 82, widow of Carl Clayton Burdine whom she had been married 48 years, died November 13, 2009 after a long illness. She was born September 11, 1927 in Jessamine County to the late Ira and Annie Reynolds Fain. She was a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church and devoted years to volunteering at Central Baptist Hospital. Betty also enjoyed camping, square dancing, bunko parties, church groups and birds! Survivors include daughters, Jan Burdine-Lexington and Jill (Ed) Shanahan-Douglasville, GA, four grandchildren, Erin (Steve) Youmans,-NV, Carrie (Spencer) Brooks-GA, Logan and Craig Shanahan-GA, two great grandchildren, Riley Shanahan and Katelynn Youmans, a sister, Jeannette Phillips-Louisville, three nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Pascal Fain and sisters Jelemma Cummins and Waveline -Ted- Warner Perkins. Services will be 11:00am Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johns. Visitation will be from 10-11am, November 21.
