Bekham Williams, 92, husband of Roma Janet Thompson Williams whom he married in April of 1952, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his home on Hillcrest Drive in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born on May 23, 1931, in Yosemite, Kentucky, to the late Eunice Williams and Maude Nichols Williams. Beckham was a United States Air Force veteran and a retired schoolteacher, where he taught Social Studies, History, and Math and was also a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Stephen B. Williams and his wife Vicki, Bennett R. Williams and his wife Patricia, and Donovan P. Williams and his wife, Pamela; five grandchildren, Stephen, Regan, Heather, Makenzie, and Susan; and eight great-grandchildren, Finn, Philipa, Hazel, August, Jax, Sophia and Boone. His siblings, Lester, Bennie, Edward, Creech, Hymon, Rebecca, and Margretta, preceded him in death. Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home 404 North Main Street Nicholasville, Kentucky, with Dr. Kevin Williams officiating. A burial with Military Honors will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time.
